About Mike Gooding

As a licensed REALTOR, Mike is experienced in working with both buyers and sellers. He knows that the buying or selling of a home often represents the most significant financial decision a person will make during their lifetime. This can be a stressful time for most people. Mike’s relaxed approach and ability to explain the process helps clients enjoy the journey instead of making it a fearful experience. His outgoing personality, hardworking style, and ability to communicate with others can be traced back to his upbringing.

Originally a mid-westerner from Illinois, Mike gets his work ethic from growing up on the family farm. From an early age, he worked long hours and became a master at multi-tasking. He learned that you work until the project is finished, not according to a time clock. Mike knew he enjoyed working with people and developed a passion for both athletics and medicine.

In order to pursue his interests, Mike received a degree from the University of Illinois and became a Certified Athletic Trainer. In 1995, he moved to the Valley of the Sun to work in the athletic department at Arizona State University. For the next dozen years, Mike provided injury prevention, care, and rehabilitation to athletes all over the country. He had the privilege of working with athletes at all levels including several in major league baseball, the NBA, and the NFL. Working in athletics provided him the opportunity to travel all over the world.

After a successful career in sports medicine, Mike decided to transition his career to real estate to spend less time on the road and more time at home with his family. He wanted to make sure he still found a career that allowed him to help people and make a difference in people’s lives. Being a REALTOR fits this perfectly!
